I joined about 110 million in the US and another unknown millions around the world watching Super Bowl XLVI Sunday night. Kick-off started at 1:30 in the morning. A friend came over and we put on some home made burgers and a variety of chips. I’ve talked a lot over the past year plus about Chicago sports – Hockey, Football, Basketball and Baseball. But I also have a San Fransisco connection.
I was born out there while my parents were at Stanford, and we went back when I was in 1st grade for a year. My defensive football heroes were undoubtedly back in Chicago but a young impressionable kid could easily get caught up in the excitement of Joe Montana and Bill Walsh‘s offense. » Read the rest of this entry «

EYUC 2011

Last week I was in Wroclaw Poland for the 2011 European Youth Ultimate (Frisbee) Championships. No, I wasn’t competing…. I was coaching. I was working with my friend Dan on the logistics for the trip, and when we realized that there wasn’t anyone to coach the Girls team, we decided to do it together.
