I joined about 110 million in the US and another unknown millions around the world watching Super Bowl XLVI Sunday night.  Kick-off started at 1:30 in the morning.  A friend came over and we put on some home made burgers and a variety of chips.  I set up a projector connected to my laptop and was able to pick up an NBC feed, commercials and everything. » Read the rest of this entry «

A Zionist PASSOVER

My last post was very up-beat and happy.  The next day was less so.  In continuing my busy Ultimate Frisbee schedule Saturday I was at the Junior National Team’s practice in Tel Aviv.  It was fun, and I was having a good time working with the kids.  I was starting to get back into a bit of a rhythm and feeling good about my return from injury.  That’s when the fates stepped in and yanked away that fun.  While doing a simple zone-D drill, I was cutting as part of the offense.  Just a simple cut to space and clear out, except for the last time. » Read the rest of this entry «

The Story of Abe’s Left Knee

Two weeks ago, I had an MRI on my left knee. I went to the hospital outside Tiberius where the waiting room and administrative desk were in a converted container/trailer. The machine itself was in a truck that seems to be just large enough to fit the machine and not much else. I wonder how Michael Knight could have fit a car and all that equipment into such a narrow space. (Mythbusters proved that the car could go up and down the ramp at speed with no problem) It’s actually not the first time I’ve had an MRI in the back of a truck, but most of the other things you get off the back of a truck are sketchy to say the least. » Read the rest of this entry «
